K.I.G ft Wiley - We're Rolling

We have chosen this video as it is a popular song at the moment but also is a song that is set to what the video should be about which allows us as a group to bring ideas and options to the planning of the music video as there is less restrictions. There are so many options to what this music video could be so we can all brainstorm seperately and try to intergrate our ideas into one masterpiece that will flow and b entertaining from the start to the end of the music video. Also we tried to indentify a song that is feauturing an artist which would allow us to sway from our concept a little without disrupting the flow of the video which would again allow us to use more of the ideas we have come up with to make the final product a diverse and enjoyable music video and not a music videos we have come accustomed to seeing.

Eminem ft Dr Dre - Guilty Conscience

This is also one of my favourite music videos simply because of the way the lyrics interact with the actual video. The two artist featuring in this song have wrote the lyrics in a way that makes it obvious that they are conversating which is the theme thorughout the video. The two characters play the role of the good and bad conscience and shows how in each scenario what could be going through that persons head at that moment. The camera freezes the frame whiile the two artist circle the frozen character which shows high tech camera work at that time of filming.
There are man aspects of this music video that we as a group could incorporate into our own music video, these include the way the camera follows each artist and insolate them from the surrounding making the viewers have to focus on them which would help to show what message we are trying to convey through the actors actions.

My Favourite Music Video

Scorcher - Gangsta

I choose this as one of my favourite video as it is in the usual style of grime video but has subtle features that distinguish the video to become unique or ahead of the rest of similar video. The video mainly shows the artist miming the lyrics whilst also surrounded by many of his peers some of whom are fellow artists. The camera work used throughout the video is substanstial to me liking the video as the way it is shot goes along with the rhythm of the song. The video muirrors the title name of the song as it shows how Britain stereotypes gangsters of the present day, as mainly black in groups, with hoods displaying aggressive behaviour. This video could be a statement to the government or other gangs to show their dominance musically and physically.

Review Of Last Year

After reviewing my performance last year in media I came to the summary that i done although I done well in media, i could have done so much better especially in the blog , so this year i am ready to right my wrongs and improve my work rate and output from last year to produce even better work and results. I feel I am more ready to produce better work and more efficiently because I understand what is needed of me this year and I am more determined to stick to the schedule and targets I set myself. I will achieve this by using the equipment provided by the school as well as the facilities that the school has, I will use these to a great standard and that will defiantely but me on the path to greater results and allow me to focus on the whole project rather then trying to catch up constantly.
As a group this year we have sat down and talked to each other about what the main problems were and why we failed to meet the targets we ahd set ourselves. We decided that the best way to combat this was to take it one step at a time , and plan far ahead and have a contingency plan so that we would never be in trouble in terms of falling behind on work totally. One of the strengths of our group were the ideas the we produced while the ideas was good, we werent able to convert that into solid material that replicated the ideas we had. If this year we are able to plan ahead better this will give us more time to make our ideas reality and hopefully mean we finish with a better product. This years coursework hold a slightly different challenge to last years one as there will be more editing involved and less time to implement the many ideas that we have. This project has more subsections than the previous project which may allow us to keep the ball rolling and be more productive.
